ABOUT SELECT-TRON

Select-Tron Industries, Inc. is a second-generation, family-owned business.  Located on the shore of beautiful Lake Erie in Erie, Pennsylvania.  Select-Tron is ISO-9001-2000 Certified.

Our facility includes a laboratory for in-house process control and a machine shop to design and build specialized fixtures.  Both ensure that our customer’s product is processed to meet all specifications at competitive prices, as well as providing minimum turn-around times.

During our quoting process, it is determined if one of our standard set ups will process your order efficiently or if your product requires a customized procedure for optimum quality and economy.  We take pride in our processing abilities and have worked with our customers developing processes that meet all of their requirements at competitive prices.

Our commitment goes far beyond the original process.  On your first order, and periodically after that, we look at every step of our procedure to pinpoint any area that can be improved to reduce costs and improve turn-around.  We’ve had a continual improvement program in effect for 36 years, long before ISO standards.

Selective plating can be a more costly plating process, but is sometimes the best way to plate a portion or isolate an area of a part that needs to be plated for a particular requirement.  With precious metal prices sky-rocketing, as they have, it may be more cost effective to selective plate a part rather than invest the money required to plate the entire part.  This decision is made by taking the time to look at both processes and determine which will be better suited to your application, and, of course, your budget.  Recently we developed a racking fixture to conduct current to several isolated metal surfaces within a glass/ceramic part and, at the same time, plating multiple parts on the fixture without leaving a noticeable contact point on any surface, front or back.  This particular system took a lot of research and development to fine-tune the fixture for maximum production yield, at our expense, but we have a very dedicated staff that will work with you to assure the best quality product possible.

All this comes down to what we consider to be one of the most important aspects of the plating business – a business relationship.  We pride ourselves in the business relationships that we have formed over the years.  We have customers that we have been plating for, for the past thirty years.

Give us a call, we would like to add you to our list of loyal and satisfied customers.
